Lawyers Responding to a Local Need = 77 Free Wills for West Dallas Residents
Earlier this month, 140 volunteers, comprised mostly of lawyers and law students, met in West Dallas on a Saturday to serve area residents. By the end of the day, 77 area residents walked away with estate plans. The 2011 ACT will clinic was the second ACT-organized will clinic in West Dallas in the past three years. ACT’s founder, Reid Porter, described the event:
“We were able to promote a safer neighborhood for future generations by giving the residents of West Dallas assurance that their homes and personal assets will pass according to their wishes. More importantly, we were able to use that platform to speak about the importance of being prepared spiritually for death and the assurance of salvation that can only be received through Jesus Christ.”
