Filling the Need

Does God know our needs before we bring them to Him?  What happens when it seems our plans didn’t work out?  God proves himself, yet again.

This year, at the Thanksgiving Outreach hosted by West Dallas Community Church, the event was so popular, they ran out of turkey.  What to do when that happens?  Praise God for his perfect plan and his perfect provision.

As Greg Jones recounts the occasion, “The only problem we came upon was that we ran out of turkey. The response to meeting that need was such praise to the Lord. No sooner that I made it know that we were in the process for getting more meat I had individual donate the funding for the cost and I had not even completed the sentence for the plan. God was already providing. We had several commitments from the participants on how they wanted to ensure they where going to be involved for the next year stepping up to take a more vested interest in the support of West Dallas Community Church in this outreach effort. It was just a great testimony on how the Lord can impact a heart when serving others rather self. ”

• 200+ volunteers
• 17 church participants
• 4 non-profits represented
• 700 meals served
