  • Volunteers help share the love of Christ by helping kids with homework, feeding dinner, and participating in Bible Study

  • Serves kids living in West Dallas (the 14th poorest zip code in the nation), a community where most students do not finish high school.
  • Volunteers are needed for week-day tutoring, Saturday School, classroom support, service projects and outreach to families.
  • Education Advocate with Justice and Equality in Education in West Dallas needed. This program concentrates on supporting the agenda of a quality public education through prayer and monthly action items to influence legislative decisions.

  • An African ministry, empowering African pastors and other leaders to bring hope and transformation to their communities. ALARM operates in eight countries of east and central Africa.
  • In 2006, Watermark began partnering with ALARM, for ministry in Burundi, Rwanda, Congo, and Uganda. Through ALARM, our efforts in Uganda include teaching government and church leaders, providing clean water to the poor, educating Uganda’s future leaders through a trade school, economically empowering the poor through loans and business development, and funding education and discipleship of orphans and at risk children.

PADER TRADE SCHOOL

  • Provides trade skills for children in war-torn Uganda and former LRA child soldiers, Biblical discipleship and trauma healing, and micro-loans to start new businesses. Construction is underway and expected to be completed in Spring 2010
  • Watermark will send teams of doctors, construction experts, lawyers, educators, sexual trauma healing experts, and nurses to the trade school to serve the surrounding community and use the school as a platform for many other types of ministry.
