For Christians, each day is meant to be a short-term mission opportunity as we share the love of Christ wherever God leads us! Sometimes God even leads us to share this love in foreign places.
Internationally, Watermark Church partners with trusted indigenous (local) ministries to train leaders in their own countries to understand and apply God’s principles for Christlike living.
Beyond impacting those we visit, we also watch God use these partnerships to impact our church body. As our members prepare for and participate in discipleship trips and other efforts, they develop a heart for those they serve… while growing deeper in their own relationship with Christ.
After the nation of Haiti was devastated by the major earthquake of January 2010, Watermark searched for trustworthy, Christ-following partners committed to serving “the least of these” through the local Haitian church. That search led us to Mission of Hope – Haiti. Through this ministry, Watermark is committed to prayerfully investing our time, talents, and treasures to bring the hope of Jesus Christ to a dark and despondent place.

I have enjoyed reading the blogs from the team that is currently serving in Haiti. It sounds like God is doing his wonderful work in many ways in Haiti. I know each team member will be touched by the people they meet while in the different villages of Haiti. They are very lucky to have such dedicated people who want to share God’s love.
