Back-To-School Activities

Back-To-School Celebration

Thank you for your incredible response to the request for help with preparing the school and families for going back to school.  About 30 volunteers descended on the school this past Thurs. and Friday and helped teachers get their rooms in order to receive their new students.  Bulletin boards were decorated, boxes were moved, book shelves were painted, lunch was served, and the list goes on.  We received donated teacher items and office supplies which was also a big help.  On Saturday we helped Sequoyah staff welcome the families back to school by providing school supplies collected by our 4th and 5th graders and lunch from the chuck wagon.  Faces were painted and fun was had by all.  You won’t want to miss this opportunity to serve and make a difference so be sure to check back for dates of service opportunities.  THANKS to 150 of you who have committed to serving in a particular area at Sequoyah.  It will take all of us to make a difference and be Jesus’ hands and feet at Sequoyah.
