Mercy Ships…bringing hope and healing
Psalm 37:4 says “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Ashley Sellars, an operating room nurse, began wrestling with how God might use both her particular skills as a nurse and her passion to for the poor and desire to serve others.
Ultimately, she decided to serve with Mercy Ships in Benin. Mercy Ships is a full fledged state-of-the-art floating hospital that provides a variety of surgical procedures to the world’s forgotten poor.

So proud of you, Ashley! She has inspired so many of us through her commitment to serve the Lord using her training and gifts. The people of Benin have been touched by physical healing and renewed lives by the work being done by Ashley and the other staff working with Mercy Ships. Pray for the hearts of the people to also be open to learning about the love of Jesus. Our community group continues to pray and support Ashley. She will return to Dallas in June – we can’t wait for her to come back!
