Claressa,
Meeting with you and Jessica this past January, and the community of the D.C. group at W.C.M. has given me a new perspective on how to pick up the pieces of my life after divorce. Even learning from other’s stories on how God brings us back to him and meets us wherever we are, and teaches us to find our identity and joy in Him…is what has made me feel more fully alive and whole in Him. Regardless if I am blessed with re-marriage someday, I’ll know that God has a plan for me, and that I’m here for a reason.
God bless you for being a blessing to so many in your service to His Kingdom. Keep smiling!
Hugs,
Elizabeth

Having been fortunate enough to be in Claressa's initial Divorce Care class, I can speak to her testimony. She, as the rest of us, was in a very vulnerable position. Sometimes, merely attending was pretty tough, as it seemed to open wounds that I would rather have left isolated.

But often isolation is the problem, as Claressa notes. It has its place, but nothing can replace the support and uplifting results of fellowship.

My best to Claressa and anyone who has had to go through the gut-wrenching agony of divorce. With God's love poured through others, healing can indeed take place.

I can not praise God enough that he has lead Claressa and the other members of Watermark to engage and lead in the DivorceCare ministry. Having committed to going through DivorceCare in the Fall of '09, I can honestly state that the members of Watermark prayerfully lead me through the watershed event in my life. I never thought that divorce was a possibility in my life. It was never suppose to happen to me! However, in may ways God has also used this event to expose me to Christian Community and strengthen my faith. If you are reading this comment and are separated or going through a divorce, I suggest that you contact Watermark regarding DivorceCare. I thank God, I thank Watermark and I also thank Claressa for her service in DivorceCare.
